Was Hattieville Violence Over Territory, Marijuana?

Hilberto Romero

The Gang Suppression Unit was deployed to the area and it resulted in the detention of four persons, whose name will not be disclosed at the time since charges have not been levied.  All four were escorted by the G.S.U. to Ladyville Police Station where they remain in custody. According to the Senior Superintendent Hilberto Romero, the police department is investigating whether the incident is linked to rivalry over territory and the sale of marijuana.

“Hattieville has been a hotspot with a lot of shootings, murders and these types of things. And there is a rivalry between groups over turf and sale of marijuana, etc. Does this have anything to do with any of the previous rivalries that we have reported on?”

Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch

“That is being investigated at this time. But at some point these persons had a misunderstanding and that is what led to this fight and they receivi9ng the injuries.”
