Guns still coming as campaign nears end

The Cash for Guns program is down to its last three days and there is still a steady flow of guns into the exchange center. Today the program safely removed eighteen firearms off the streets, including two 22’s, five 25’s, one 32, one 38, one 9-millimeter, one 357, one pen gun, two shot guns, two sawed-off shotguns, two pellet guns and a quantity of ammunition, including fully loaded clips. As of this evening, the following companies had contributed money to the project: James Brodies and Company, Augusto Quan, Barrow and Williams, Appliance World, Bank of Nova Scotia, Southside Mini Mart, Glenn D. Godfrey and Company, Atlantic Insurance, G.A. Roe and Sons, Belize Diesel, Macmillan Brothers, Saint John’s College, Syscomp, Mikado Textile Palace, The Record Shack, Young’s Law Firm, the Belize Council of Churches, Christine Arnold, and the Belize Tourism Board.
