51 year old charged for carnal knowledge of minor

A mechanic of Hattieville is spending his first night behind bars at Hattieville tonight after he was remanded for having sexual intercourse with a thirteen year old girl. Fifty-one year old Cyril Hanker is charged with Carnal Knowledge and Grievous Harm. Because the nature of the offenses is indictable, Hanker was denied bail. The girl, a primary school student, reported to police that she went to live with Hanker and his wife in June of last year and that Hanker had sex with her from September to November. A social officer received a report about the abuse and investigated the incident along with a police officer. An examination has confirmed that the girl has been sexually active and that she had also been injured. Hanker will be brought back before the court on May fifth.
