Musa addresses UN on Wednesday

On Wednesday morning the UN’s Millennium Summit opens and the first of over a hundred heads of government will take to the world’s most honoured podium to deliver what is supposed to be no more than a five-minute speech. Leading the pack, not surprisingly, will be U.S. President Bill Clinton. He will be followed by the president of Equitorial Guinea and then the president of Guatemala. Our own Prime Minister, Said Musa, will be the 21st speaker of the day, sandwiched between the prime ministers of Iceland and Israel. The address will be broadcast via satellite from New York and we hope to carry Musa’s speech live on Channel Five at around 8:45 in the morning, give or take a few minutes, depending on how well his colleagues stick to their time limits.
