Number of Persons at Social Gatherings Increased to 100
Prohibitions on the use of parks and playgrounds will be lifted and recreational contact sports such as volleyball, basketball and football will be allowed. Gymnasiums and spas will be allowed to open. Private parties, weddings, funerals, receptions, meetings of fraternal societies, social clubs, or civic associations or organizations can be held, following social distancing protocols. The number of persons allowed for social gatherings has increased from forty to one hundred, but the use of mask is a must.
Michael Peyrefitte, Attorney General
“For the purpose of preventing COVID-19 no person may host or attend any of the following social activities with more than hundred persons. Hundred persons now is the limit for things. You have a private party, which includes persons from outside of the immediate household of the house occupant. Before we use to say have a little party with only who live there. Now you can invite people to your private home, have a party there with your music and everything and you can even invite people from outside the house who don’t live there. No more than a hundred. A wedding of a hundred. You are now allowed to have a hundred people. You can have a banquet, a ball or a reception. If you have a wedding then naturally you have a reception. For some funerals people have wakes where they gather at a house and socialize. No more than a hundred people. You can go to a social event.” I guess if you have certain bashes or whatever or people that have a little, people have even have a concert now if you want to a concert but you wil have t accept that it will be less than a hundred people. Aha the meeting of a fraternal society, private or social club or civic association, those lodge men who are hot to meet again you can meet now. I don’t know why a hundred men want to meet together. If it I a hundred of you then you can meet. Enough respect, I don’t judge. Churches and places of public worship, the congregation can have up to a hundred people. I don’t remember the last time I saw a hundred people in church but it can hold a hundred people. Every person will wear a face mask or face covering for the duration of the service except for the priest, pastor or their persons conducting the service of the ceremony.”
