Two Robberies Reported Over the Weekend

A businessman and a woman were robbed this past weekend in separate incidents that occurred in Hattieville and Belize City, respectively.  Thea Gillett was making her way on foot along Marine Parade, in the vicinity of A+ Happy Hour Bar, when she was accosted and held at gunpoint by a trio of men.  They stole from her a cell phone before making good their escape into a nearby alley.  In Hattieville, the owner of Q&B Store was also robbed of a thousand dollars, as well as his licensed firearm when three men also stormed into his shop.

“Over the weekend, we had two robbery reports, one in Hattieville and one in Belize City.  At about one p.m., police visited Q&B Store, located on Sylvester Boulevard in Hattieville Village, where they spoke with the proprietor who reported that whilst he was inside of his store three men male persons entered the said store, one of them armed with a firearm.  He was held at gunpoint and stolen from him was a thousand dollars in cash and a licensed nine millimeter pistol.  The three persons that entered the store had masks on their faces. Yesterday likewise, at about nine p.m. Ms. Thea Gillett, twenty years Belizean cashier was walking on Marine Parade, almost by A+ Happy Hour Bar and whilst passing by an alley she was held up at gunpoint by three male persons, whilst she was robbed of her Samsung brand cell phone.  Thereafter the three male persons walked and ran into the alley.  Also again, these three male persons had masks covering their faces.”
