Footballers beaten by police will take action

On last night’s newscast we spoke to a relative who described the beating given by Orange Walk police to football stars Norman “Tilliman” Nunez and Charlie Slusher. Immediately after our newscast the two athletes showed up in person, having been released earlier in the day from the Orange Walk jail. The pair had indeed suffered injuries and told News Five that they would be taking their case to the Ombudsman and police department. Nunez and Slusher claim that they were bystanders during a fight outside a bar, but were arrested and severely beaten by a number of police officers led by the notoriously aggressive Eli Salazar.
