Cabinet Rejects Waterloo’s Cruise Ship Facility Project
Another matter that the Prime Minister dealt with had to with a proposal by Waterloo, for a two hundred million dollar cruise ship facility in the Port of Belize. That proposal has been presented to the government for years now. When he was asked about it today, the Prime Minister made very brief remarks, to say that it will not proceed, with the caveat, for now.
Prime Minister Dean Barrow
“This ought not to be taken as saying anything more than that at this juncture, for all sorts of reasons; Cabinet did not feel that we ought to proceed. I really don’t want to take it beyond that; at this juncture, at this juncture.”
