Application for M.S.M.E. Support Programme Starts on August First
According to C.E.O. in the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Commerce, Duane Belisle, the M.S.M.E. Support Programme will be implemented over a course of three months starting on August first, when the application process will be opened. There are, however, certain requirements that applicants will have to meet.

“The estimated implementation of the programme is three months commencing August first 2020. The application period will run for twenty-one days from launch and a decision will be taken fourteen days from launch and a decision will be taken within fourteen days n receipt of a completed applications. The programme will be out in the following steps; open call for applications based on the target groups, applications submitted online preferably or in hard copy if necessary. Applicants will specify which facility or facilities they are applying for. Completed applications will be submitted to an evaluation committee for review.”

“They must be engaged in these following areas: tourism and leisure, transportation and logistics, agriculture, agro-processing, fisheries, light manufacturing, creative and cultural industries and commercial free zone, but we’re focusing more, it’s really a focus on the employees, those who can access that wage subsidy that was mentioned, that seven million dollar age subsidy, and of course they must have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.”
