Okeke offers self improvement lectures

If you’ve ever seen an infomercial on television promising to show you how to better your life for an expensive price, you probably changed the channel. But this time, the self-help is not on video and it won’t cost you a penny. It turns out that Stephen Okeke, master sculptor and budding inventor, is also a motivational speaker. His free seminar, entitled “Problem Solving Skills For Everyday Living”, is coming to you live and direct.

“The seminar I’m having at Zoe Ministries is about problem solving. It’s going to be about how to solve problems. A lot of people have never had the privilege of knowing how to solve problems. They have been told why they should solve problems; what they should do to solve problems, and the consequences for not solving them. We find that people have predominantly not been told “how” to do these things. The seminar, it’s about the “how” part. About how to take care of the stresses that come across your everyday life.”

“Children, adolescents, young adults are facing problems of self-esteem, self-image, sexual problems, decision in relationships, financial problems. We have the idea now, that if you’re not a millionaire by the time you’re seventeen years old, you are not making it. So, I want to make them understand how to handle the different type of stressors when they come against them in everyday life.”

Okeke is inviting teenagers and adults to join him at 6:30 p.m. sharp. The seminar is being held at Zoe Ministries at Eighty-Nine Vernon Street from Wednesday through Friday.
