Another weed plantation busted
Ask the people who should know and they will tell you that on the streets of Belize City good marijuana is as scarce as a blue note on the night before payday. While the reason for the shortage cannot be exactly determined, some large-scale busts of major plantations may have something to do with it. On Monday another field of green gold went up in smoke as police mounted an early morning raid on an area one mile northeast of Indian Church Village in the Orange Walk District. Over two thousand fully grown plants were uprooted and put to the torch. No arrests were made.
