Two more Chinese chops held up
It seems that almost every night a local Chinese owned store is subjected to criminal attack. So it should come as no surprise that “Everyday” grocery shop on Euphrates Avenue was finally robbed on Monday. Cao Chao Qee, proprietor of “Everyday”, was standing in front of his store around 9:30 p.m. when two men, armed with a gun, relieved his pocket of one thousand, six hundred dollars. The robbers then forced him into the shop and took one hundred one dollar coins from the cash drawer.
Monday night also did not provide any relief for Lin Ji Fing. She was robbed by two armed men just before closing her shop at twenty-seven George Street. At approximately the same time “Everyday” was being jacked, two masked men entered Lin’s store “Tan Kee” demanding money. One of the men pointed a handgun to her chest then pushed her to the cash drawer and stole two thousand dollars before disappearing into the night.
