Car drives off Cayo bridge
A twenty-three year old San Ignacio man is lucky to be alive after the vehicle he was traveling in slipped off the town’s temporary wooden bridge and overturned. According to witnesses, around 2:30 Sunday afternoon, Alejandro Rodriguez was making his way alone across the low wooden span when the accident occurred. It is not known how Rodriguez managed to drive off the bridge, but reports suggest that it had been raining heavily and Rodriguez may have experienced poor visibility.
