Simon Leary gets bail for attempted murder
Attorney Hurl Hamilton was successful today in arguing for Supreme Court bail for a man who is before the Court on an attempted murder charge. Simon Leary, a construction worker of Esperanza Village, Cayo was arraigned in the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court for attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm upon Paul Jex, Jr. That court denied Leary bail for the July tenth shooting, but today, the Supreme Court offered him bail in the sum of twelve thousand dollars . Leary is to stay away from the witnesses, report to the Belmopan Police each week, must not leave the jurisdiction without permission from a Supreme Court Judge, is to avoid getting charged with an indictable offense while this case is still ongoing, and must report to the San Ignacio Magistrate’s Court on September thirteenth, 2020.
