BTB sponsors downtown fete

If you’re looking for something to do in Belize City this weekend and already blew your paycheck at the movie theatre, don’t worry as there is no shortage of low cost entertainment. On Sunday the Belize Tourism Board is organising what they call a Downtown Carnival Fete. The idea is to help clean up the commercial part of the City, give Carnival groups a venue to both celebrate and raise funds for their bands, and hopefully inaugurate an event that can bring tourists into town during a time when they are usually scarce. The event runs from ten until seven and has the participation of most of the major Carnival bands. William Neal and Neil Hall will host.
