Pablo Marin Wants Frank Mena to Remain in the U.D.P.

Turning to politics…the question is: Will Frank ‘Papa’ Mena seek re-election under the leadership of Leader elect of the U.D.P., Patrick Faber? Mena, who is a staunch supporter of John Saldivar, had some ill words for Faber during the leadership fight. And recently, the two time Dangriga Area Representative was called out by members of his committee who are demanding that a convention be held to select the U.D.P. standard bearer ahead of the next general elections. A letter was sent to Faber, expressing a lack of confidence in Mena and his ability to win the division for the third time.  This was followed by a strong message of support by Saldivar via Facebook.  Today, Corozal Bay U.D.P. area representative, Pablo Marin told the media that Mena is the best option for the U.D.P. in that division.

“Would you want your colleague Frank Papa Mena to stay within the party?”

“Definitely. He is one of the strongest ministers and area reps that I know can win his division and I know he has done so much for his community and he is looking at doing much more for his community. So I wish he can stay. I know he will still be here and he is a strong leader.”
