Caretaker murdered at Cayo Maya site

Those violent forces referred to by Espat were hard at work, both before and after his speech in Belmopan. Details are still sketchy, but it appears that the Maya site of Cahal Pech was the scene of a particularly brutal murder this afternoon. Between 4:00 and 4:30, two men, apparently with black paint on their faces, attempted to rob the visitors centre. In doing so, they surprised the young caretaker, twenty-year old Geoffrey Moss. Moss, who was substituting for his mother, was watching television when the men entered. On shot him at close range in the back of his head, killing him instantly. At press time, we have no news on efforts to catch the killers. The murder was witnessed by at least one person.
