“The four issues that we are dealing with are a big deal and issues of concern.  We are looking at something like domestic violence where the police have to respond; regardless of how many times a woman has called for help. So, that sensitivity must be there within the police officers and we are also looking at children who have been sexually exploited or human trafficked. And we are saying these issues need to be sensitized with the police and they need to act accordingly in a manner that is most efficient for children under the age of eighteen.”

“Y.E.S. is a child protection agency and we feel that we are doing our jobs by imparting the knowledge with those on the front line where they can then make the correct decisions to help children. At the end of the day, we look at the C.R.C. which is the convention of the rights of a child, so whatever we do at the end of the day is to protect children.”
