Reginald Pott Gets Supreme Court Bail for Murder
Reginald Pott, another man who is on remand for the murder of another young woman was also granted bail of thirty thousand dollars when he appeared before Justice Colin Williams. Pott was originally charged along with two other men for the June 2017 murder of sixteen year-old Emy Guerra in Familia Village, Cayo and with the attempted murder of Guerra’s boyfriend, Eliseo Bacab. However, the attempted murder trial ended earlier this month with an acquittal after Bacab testified that he could not definitively say if Pott had attacked him and his girlfriend because when he was stabbed he lost consciousness. Attorney for Pott, Dickie Bradley argued that based on these grounds, Pott should be considered for bail on the grounds of his acquittal and also because he is not a flight risk. While Pott got bail, he is bound by a number of strict conditions.
