ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
“Police were called to the scene of a robbery at Tai San store on the South Ring Road of Belmopan where the proprietor reported to police that sometime around ten a.m., a slim built male person wearing a camouflage jacket, a reflective vest and a motorcycle helmet entered the establishment and thereafter pulled out a handgun and demanded money. As a result, he relieved them of an undisclosed amount of money along with a cell-phone and thereafter he exited the building and mounted the back of a blue in color motorcycle and thereafter made good his escape. Police are investigating this matter and are following several leads in relation to the investigation.”
Our records show that the shop was robbed almost two years ago back in 2018.
