A man was shot this morning while taking a walk near his home. Carlton Lord, a fifty-nine year old labourer of number twenty-seven West Canal, is now being treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was shot in the left forearm and left leg by an unidentified man. According to police, at about twelve forty-five Lord was walking on West Canal when he was attacked by a man of fair complexion, wearing a black pants, white shirt and hat. Lord told police that the man simply shot him twice with a pistol and fled the scene. Up to newstime police had still not made any arrests.
