Chopping in San Jose Village
A man is hospitalized at the Northern Regional Hospital after he was the victim of a brutal attack on Sunday morning in San Jose Village in Orange Walk. Jonathan Juchim was heading to his house in the village when he was accosted by three men, one who wielded a machete. He was chopped to the head and hand and was rushed to the hospital where he is listed in a stable condition. At this time, police are unable to say if his attackers are from the village or what may have triggered the attack.

“Police visited the northern regional hospital where they found Jonathan Juchim, nineteen years Belizean of San Jose Village, with chop wounds to the head and to the right elbow. Juchim reported that he was walking home when he was attacked by three male persons who inflicted the injuries to him. He made it home and was taken to the hospital and is in a stable condition. We are seeking three persons in regards to this investigation at this time. We do not have a motive at this time.”
