Police Investigating Recent Gun Video

Another video has been released and is being investigated by the Belize Police Department. The video shows a man wielding a gun and is heard speaking of possibly robbing a Tutsi ideal truck. The video has been widely circulated on social media and has reached the hands of ComPol Chester Williams. He says the video has since been forwarded to Anti-Gang Task Force.

“We have received a number of videos with people holding guns and those matters are being followed up by the Anti-Gang Task Force. We also saw one with an adult giving a child to shoot and that is also being followed up. So whenever we get these videos, we would normally share it with—if it is a gang issue, we give it to the gang task force; if it is a crime issue, then C.I.B. would do the necessary investigation.”
