A trio of robbers strikes in Calcutta Village
Just after seven on Friday night, three armed robbers hit a supermarket in Calcutta Village in Corozal. The thieves got away with some money and cell-phones. A.C.P. Joseph Myvett gives us the details:

“Corozal Police responded to an information of a robbery at Community Supermarket in Calcutta Village, where the proprietor reported to them that sometime shortly before seven thirty p.m., while she was closing her business establishment, three male persons entered just about closing time two of whom were armed with handguns and demanded money. As a result, an undisclosed amount of money along with some cell phones was stolen. Police are investigating and we are following several leads in respect to this at this point in time. We did have a look at the surveillance footage for which we are looking at several areas in respect to the investigation.”
