Three charged in Corozal abduction

In the Corozal District police have charged 3 men in connection with a bizarre incident which occurred on Sunday morning. 54-year old Manuel Lin, 19-year old Eusebio Lin and a 16-year old minor, all of San Roman Village, have been charged with the crime of forcible abduction. A 25-year old woman of the village alleges that between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning, while walking through Santa Clara, the trio pulled her into a van. They then took her to a cane feeder road a couple of miles away where they demanded money and sex. According to police the woman yielded neither, forcibly resisting the assault and managing to escape without harm. The three men have been denied bail and remanded to Hattieville Prison until their next court appearance on June 19th.
