Youth Survives Accident in Belama
Rodrick Wade has been treated and released from the K.H.M.H. where he was rushed this morning after he was the victim of a road traffic accident at the corner of Albert Hoy Avenue and Alejo Beni Street in the Belama Phase Two area of the city. Wade was travelling on a motorcycle on Albert Hoy Avenue as he reached its junction with Alejo Beni Street, a van, which did not heed to the stop sign, hit Wade. The impact sent the motorcyclist to the pavement and into a SUV that had stopped to give way for Wade. Wade complained of back pain and was also bleeding from the mouth; EMTs arrived shortly after and he was taken by ambulance to the K.H.M.H. for treatment. The drivers of both vehicles made statements at the Belama Police Station and a Notice of Intended Prosecution was issued to the driver of the van.
