Seven-year old girl sexually abused

Tonight, a 7-year old student lies in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after she was sexually abused. According to Belize City Police, the girl showed up at her school on Wednesday afternoon, but immediately one of the school wardens noticed that something wrong. Initial investigations have revealed that the St. John’s Vianney student was on her way to school with her stepfather, but it is alleged he had sex with the girl and then dropped her off. Hospital officials have confirmed that the child was carnally known. The stepfather is being detained, but police say they have not charged him yet because the little girl has not been able to give them a detailed statement.
