Francisco Rodriguez is Denied Bail
While Luis Tun was lucky to get bail, one man who does not share in that luck is Francisco Rodriguez. He is accused of a slew of charges that the Judge thought are too serious to allow him freedom while he awaits trial. Rodriguez’s attorney, Anthony Sylvestre, could not convince Justice Moore to grant him bail after Crown Counsel Romy Wade made compelling arguments over the gravity of the offences with which Rodriguez is charged. The prosecution alleges that on September fourth, Rodriguez and others broke into a home in San Jose Village, Orange Walk, and tied up the occupants as they helped themselves to one thousand five hundred dollars in cash, laptops, cell phones and household items valued at over five thousand dollars. In the process, the men also allegedly sexually assaulted a twelve-year-old girl. Rodriguez is charged with three counts of harm, three counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of handling stolen goods, and one count of sexual assault upon the minor.
