“Yellow Man” Threatens News Five’s Journalist Hipolito Novelo
Brian “Yellow Man” Audinett today threatened News Five’s journalist Hipolito Novelo. The first form of intimidation came via text in which Audinett warns Novelo to not mess with him on the news. The threats escalated over the phone when Audinett threatened Novelo with physical injury before cutting off the call. It is no surprise that Audinett displayed that sort of bullish behaviour, especially since he has done it to two other persons in the media; once to Chanel Seven’s cameraman Dennis Ellis inside the National Assembly Chamber and to Krem News Editor Marisol Amaya. But while it is not surprising, it is still concerning because any threat whether verbally or physically cannot be countenanced and a threat against a media worker can only be seen as an attack on the freedom of the press. Audinett was grossly responding to a story ran on this station on Tuesday night. The story featured a slew of documents that show that under the U.D.P. government, Audinett, who is the macebearer, received more than fifty thousand dollars for home improvements, housing assistance and assistance as a “deserving case” in addition to stipend for house meetings and a job at the National Sports Council. Instead of defending the payments he received, a rattled Audinett rather sought to intimidate Novelo. Here is how that went.
On the Phone Brian “Yelllowman” Audinett
“No “&*# with me!”
Hipolito Novelo
“Me da no your pikni so no de text me…”
On the Phone: Brian “Yelllow Man” Audinett
“When I hold on to you you will now who pickni, &^#$*”
Hipolito Novelo
“You are being recorded Yellow Man.”
And then the call was discontinued.
