Belize City man charged in weekend rape
In a follow up to another crime reported last night, 42-year old Denny Gabourel, a mechanic of Wilson Street in Belize City, has been charged with indecent assault, harm and theft in connection with an incident reported to have occurred in the wee hours of Sunday morning. A 28-year old woman claims that after being offered a ride at 3:00 am at the Bel-China Bridge, she was taken to Belizean Beach where the driver raped her and robbed her of $650.
