High schools debate tourism
If you missed the spelling bee you may want to check out another academic competition, this one taking place at the high school level. Tonight at 7:00 St. Catherine’s Academy and St. John’s College square off in the final round of the Belize Tourism Board’s inter-school debate. The topic for the debate, which is part of a regional project undertaken by the Caribbean Tourism Organization, is whether or not Belize is taking the necessary steps toward creating a sustainable tourism industry. The venue is Holy Redeemer Parish Hall and in case you can’t make it, the debate will be carried live on More FM.
