ComPol Issues Warning to Those Who Harbor Escapees

On Tuesday, Commissioner of Police Chester Williams also warned those who may be harbouring the inmates – pointing out that it is a crime to be assisting them. He also cautioned motorists.

“I would like to say that the criminal code makes provision for anyone who aids any prisoner or any person they believe to be wanted are guilty of an offence so harboring a fugitive is an offence. I also want to appeal to motorists to be extremely vigilant on the highway – do not stop for persons on the road and any unusual sightings please report it to us so that we can respond.”
