Rodman Welch is Arraigned for Shakeem Dennison’s Murder

Police this afternoon escorted stevedore, Rodman Welch of Faber’s Road in Belize City to the Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with the murder of Shakeem Dennison. Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford explained to Welch that because the matter is an indictable one, she could not take a plea from him and so she remanded him to the Belize Central Prison until December thirtieth. Dennison was shot dead on Monday afternoon while playing basketball on the Yabra basketball court.
