Cayo South Incumbent Julius Espat Nominated for the Third Time

Area Representative Julius Espat was also nominated today for the third time in his political career.  He has won two previous elections handsomely and is now officially on the ballot for his third run in Cayo South.  After the process, which took place inside the Saint Edmond Campion RC School in Roaring Creek, Espat spoke of his winning strategy to our friends at Plus TV.

“We have a slight advantage in that I have been elected for two terms and we have never stopped working, so our campaign is every day, has always been. And so it is just a matter of organizing and we are organizing through families; we are using social media and what is available to us. And we are extra protective of the people that hopefully will support us. Nothing beats campaigning every day from the day you are elected. If you wah cram for an exam is different if you prepare from the day the class starts. And that’s the way we operate in Cayo South. We are optimistic; I don’t predict anything because I don’t like predicting. It is not my decision at the end of the day; it is the people’s decision. They will have to choose the best person that can represent them.”
