In Orange Walk, the United Democratic Party’s nomination day did not have the usual political fanfare. But there were the usual flags, supporters with U.D.P. shirts and vehicles. Sitting U.D.P. area representative for Orange Walk East, Elodio Aragon Junior makes his way to the District Education Centre – U.D.P. flags waving behind him and supporters practicing social distancing. Before entering the nomination room, Aragon and his nominators washed their hands. He comes out feeling very good.

So I feel very good.”

“I feel very excited. I am ready. I am ready for this challenge. I feel ready to move with the U.D.P. and it is going to be a win, win, win for us in the Orange Walk South area. I believe we have educated our people and we have asked even when I was campaigning for them to be sage to take all precautions, as well as myself I am doing that so. So I am asking everybody on that day to be precautious, take all safety measures to protect ourselves. Because of the safety measures I decided that the six of us are coming, the six of us are going to go in there and take all measures.”
And the same was for Denny Grijalva. He caught up with him leaving the La Inmaculada school auditorium where the man he is trying to defeat was also nominated. Grijalva wants to represent the people of Orange Walk Central and is running under the theme “improve with Denny”
