Officer still under investigation for death of 12 year old
Belmopan police are about to detain and question once more, a volunteer special constable in connection with the unresolved death of a young girl. The twelve year old girl had gone missing and her remains were discovered on Tuesday night in a ditch close to a dump site off a dirt road in Cotton Tree Village. Today forensic expert, Doctor Mario Estradabran confirmed to News Five that Saida Noemi Godoy Veliz died the same day she disappeared, March thirteenth. But Estradabran was not sure what caused her death. Meanwhile, Belmopan police spent today in Frank’s Eddy where the child lived, about four miles away from where her body was found. Cops were in the village interviewing her neighbours, some who reportedly have confirmed that she was last seen in the company of volunteer Police Special Constable, Luis Guerra of Belmopan. Guerra has reportedly offered police an alibi of his whereabouts on the night when the child went missing, but police say they have reason to believe otherwise and are cross-checking that report. Police were also still trying to locate another man, whose identity they are keeping under wraps.
