Ground broken on new Belmopan classrooms
In Belmopan today, the Prime Minister got a chance to do some manual labor. The occasion was the groundbreaking for a new school building being built for the expansion of Our Lady of Guadelupe Roman Catholic School. As he addressed the gathering, Musa endorsed the church state system saying he was committed to instilling a God fearing education in children and thanked the community for its efforts in the project. The Belize Government contributed $200,000 towards the new building while other donations were made by the people of Belmopan as well as Mr. and Mrs. Tom Sullivan from the United States, who contributed $40,000 in steel frames and other essentials.
