Alleged kidnap victim admits hoax

“They beat me. They had sex with me, They rape me.”

Viewers may recall a story we ran last week in which an unnamed security guard told a hair raising tale of being kidnapped from his job and repeatedly raped and tortured by his abductors over a 24-hour period. Needless to say the story sounded a little odd, but the young man, identified only as “Mike”, stuck to his guns. Not any more. Today police informed us that Mike, whose real name is Selvyn Encalada, has confessed that he made the whole thing up. Encalada apparently concocted the tale to cover for his prolonged absence from his job while he was off on a boy’s night out. That night of fun has now cost him more than his job. Encalada has been charged with committing a mischievous act.
