Matthew Fuentes Gets Bail for Rape
The Magistrate’s Court remains closed today after COVID-19 was detected among staff. But at the Supreme Court, a man who is on remand for rape was today granted bail. Justice Antoinette Moore granted twenty-five-year-old Matthew Fuentes bail in the sum of ten thousand dollars in the form of two sureties. The bail conditions are that Fuentes does not interfere with the complainant or any other prosecution witness; that he reports to the police every week and that he returns to court at the next scheduled hearing of his case. The rape allegedly occurred in Sand Hill Village on October twenty-seventh, 2020. The twenty-two-year-old woman told police that Fuentes forced his way into her home around dawn that morning and used a gun to hit her across the head before forcing her to perform oral sex on him.
