Weekend robberies hit Belize City
Belize City was the venue for a couple of early morning robberies over the weekend. According to police reports at 2:00am Sunday, 21-year old Eric Dominguez was accosted at the corner of Hyde’s Lane and New Road by 8 men who relieved him of several articles of gold jewelry and $50 in cash. Three and a half hours later on Curasow Street 39-year old Tyrone Sampson was stopped by a car. Two men, described as dark skinned with braided hair, got out and snatched 3 gold chains from his neck, punched him in the face and drove off. No arrests have been made in either case.
