No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Francisco Domingo Ac Tzalam

ComPol Chester Williams also gave a brief update on the sudden death, believed to be by drowning of Guatemalan national, Francisco Domingo Ac Tzalam. Tzalam was reported missing from Livingston, Guatemala as then hurricane Eta came barrelling through Central America.  His body was later discovered by a fisherman five miles northeast of Hunting Caye.  The Commissioner says that foul play is not suspected and that the relevant Guatemalan authorities have been contacted.

“The Guatemalan embassy has been informed of the matter. And as you rightly said, we do not suspect foul play. As soon as the post-mortem is concluded, the body should be handed over to the Guatemalans and then we move from there.”
