Dolores Balderamos Garcia, Area Rep., Belize Rural Central
“What I want to do is give out people hope because we have pledged for example when to comes to land that we will do our best to issue as many house lots as we possibly can. Of course you don’t issue house lots by giving somebody a piece of paper. You issue a house lot by making sure there is infrastructure, a road, water, light and so we have a major challenge ahead of us. But we also have to look at the human aspect of things, the social aspects of things. There is a lot of need so we will have to balance a sort of social approach. We will have to balance that with a business approach to stimulate business in the area so people can feel that they have a stake because there are taking home a little bit of money either through entrepreneurship or because they have been able to get ahead even though times are difficult. I really want to focus on some of the more challenged communities, La Democracia, Gales Point, Mahogany Heights, we have issues there in relation to land and I would just yes to ask our constituency to have for a little bit f patience as we settle in but I would want them to know that I will work as hard as possible. I will put my shoulder to the wheel along with the government of John Briceño because we know that we have to bring betterment to Belize Rural Central.”
