Four Ministers Hail from the South

Louis Zabaneh

As we said earlier in the newscast, Dangriga Area Representative Doctor Louis Zabaneh will be the minister of State in the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology under Francis Fonseca. Rodwell Ferguson will serve as the Minister of Public Utilities and Logistics. His colleague from Toledo West Oscar Requeña will serve as Minister of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government while Mike Espat of Toledo East will be working along with the Prime Minister as Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment. Doctor Zabaneh says that he is honored to serve in the Ministry of Education.

“I am very honored to be asked to serve along with honorable Francis Fonseca in the Ministry of Education and Culture. So I am very excited for that and that is where I was hoping that I would have been able to serve.”

“So that would be in the capacity as minister of state?”

Dr. Louis Zabaneh

“Yes, it would be. Honorable Francis has made it public that in our plan we must be able to give more access to people across this country. In our constituency one of the things we hear a lot is that I have four children and I can only send one because I can’t afford the one. Access in terms of affordability is going to be a high priority for us so that can have their children actually attend their school and that is very important.”
