Marconi Leal Says No Charges for Intruders

We also asked Leal for an update regarding the terrifying home invasion at his residence in Sand Hill Village in the days prior to the elections.   He says that one of the intruders was caught and items were recovered.  After having a chat with the perpetrator, the Leal family decided that no charges would be levied.

“One of the guys got caught. That has been solved. We did not press any charges. We spoke to the guy and we got back our stuff. Some were damaged and we move on. We are moving on.”

“Do you still believe that it was politically motivated?”

“I believe so. I honestly believe so. You know people are saying that we set it up and all kind of hogwash but it was. Seeing the guy in Sand Hill on election n day on the opposite side told us, makes me believe that it was because he was out there.”

“But people might find it curious as to why you are not pressing charges since the person has been caught.”

“We don’t want to press charges. He would come out and he would want to come after us again. We decided as a family that we will drop the charges. We are moving on from there.”
