Minor Shot in Ladyville; Was He the Intended Target?
A minor was shot in Ladyville over the weekend, but police say he may not have been the intended target. They suspect that the teen’s associate, a known figure to the police, was the shooter’s target. Police say that they are looking for one person in connection with this latest shooting. Here’s more from Superintendent Alejandro Cowo.
Supt. Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Eastern Division
“Sunday morning, around two, an adult accompanied by a minor visited the Ladyville Police Station where it was observed that the minor had an apparent gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to the hospital for medical attention. He was treated and released later that morning. What police have gathered so far is that the minor and that same person who accompanied him to the station were at a yard at Perez Street when a male person came out and fired shots at them injuring the minor.”

“So, he wasn’t like the target?”
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
“Well, I know that the other person who was accompanying him is well known to the police and we suspect that he was the intended target. We know that the other person has had a landing dispute with other persons from the area and we believe that’s a possible motive behind the shooting.”
Andrea Polanco
“Has that person been detained?”
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
“No, police is looking for that person.”
