Man remanded for March 16th shooting

Charges of Attempted Murder against twenty-four year old Knox Cumberbatch have landed him in remand pending trial. Cumberbatch also faces charges of Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly Means of Harm. And when he appeared before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers, he was remanded until April twenty-seventh because of the type of offense. Cumberbatch is charged in connection with a shooting on March sixteenth in which thirty-nine year old Elroy Saldano received gunshot wounds to the right arm and upper body. Saldano, who was recently released from the K.H.M.H., reported that Cumberbatch waited for him at his home and shot him as he entered the yard. Saldano was allegedly fired at three more times but the second round of bullets missed and Cumberbatch left the scene. According to Saldano, he and Cumberbatch had an altercation the night prior to the shooting.
