Caricom basketball tourney to be held in B’dos

With the ongoing crisis over our national football team still awaiting resolution it may seem premature to bring up the subject…but guess what? In less than three months it will be time for the Caricom basketball championships. We have just received word that this year’s games will be held in Barbados beginning June 29th. With a title to defend and no shortage of potential stars, including the NBA’s Milton Palacio, it might be best to make the tough decisions regarding players and coaches now rather than wait until the last desperate minute. An added feature of this year’s tournament is that the semi-finals and final round will be televised throughout the region live via satellite courtesy of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union.
