Dangriga cop also under investigation
A policeman is also under investigation in Dangriga. The officer, whose name was not released by the department, was in pursuit of a drug suspect on Sunday night when he fired a warning shot in the air. Nobody was hit by the bullet, but a police investigation will determine whether the discharge of the firearm endangered the life of any bystanders. The suspect, Norman Sutherland, was eventually apprehended and charged with marijuana possession.
