Minister of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries Kareem Musa confirmed to the media this afternoon that attorney Kevin Arthurs is his Chief Executive Officer. Arthurs is no stranger, other than being a practicing attorney, he was once part of the Crime Control Council and the Human Rights Commission. “The recommended C.E.O. for the Ministry of Home Affairs and New Growth Industries is Mister Kevin Arthurs. He is as you know a seasoned well trained attorney at law with excellent experience not just in civil law but he was once a prosecutor over the Director of Public Prosecution Office. He was in the Crime Control Council. We intend to hopefully bring back the Crime Control Council. It is a very important body. He was I believe the secretary on the Human Rights Commission. So I’s somebody very well versed not only in the law but somebody with excellent ideas, excellent vision and strategies who I am no doubt confident will be able to deliver in his job as the new C.E.O. of the ministry.  We are all capable of operating at different levels. And so while it is yes that myself and my learned counsel over here are attorneys and also the C.E.O., I think it is a good blend of minds, good blend of strategies and no doubt it will work  out operationally as well.”
