16-Year-Old Charged for Murder of Sean Menzies
Police say a minor was behind the killing of well-known Bowen and Bowen employee Sean Menzies. The cops have arrested a sixteen-year-old boy who was charged with the murder that happened on November eighteenth on Lancaster Street in Belize City. In addition, police are upgrading the charge of abetment to commit murder against twenty-two-year-old Jeffry Contreras. Here’s more from Commissioner of Police Chester Williams.

“I want to say that in respect to the murder of Mr. Menzies, we now have the other suspect in custody who happens to be a sixteen-year-old. Now, these are the people who people would normally seh lef’ mi pikney ‘lone, right? Now, that sixteen-year-old is expected to be charged today with murder along with another individual who has been charged for abetment before, that person’s charge will be upgraded to murder, as well. When it comes to the shooting at Mr. Charles Young yesterday, one of the suspects is also a minor who is fifteen years old. So, you see the type of persons we are dealing with. Children; I would normally refer to them as gun toddlers.”
